We get asked this questions a lot, why hire a wedding day assistant or day of wedding coordinator when you have your mum, sister, bridesmaids or MOH to help on the day?
Whilst this is very true and can be very helpful to help manage your day wouldn't it be great if you did NOT have to feel guilty asking them for help and they can enjoy the special moments of your big day with you stress free.
When you hire a wedding day assistant they are responsible for ensuring your day runs as smooth as possible. Whether its getting you a drink of water, picking up flowers, checking in your luggage into your bridal suite, setting up the church decorations, carry your bouquet and train whilst between pictures and greeting guest , being the major point of contact and to be the person to run interference so you don’t have to hear about disasters or drama, and much more,
Some couples decide to go against a wedding day assistant as they have a wedding coordinator from their reception/ venue. Although this may sound similar be mindful that the roles of the two may not be the same. Be sure to check the responsibilities of your wedding coordinator and what they are willing to do for you on the day. In our experience most will only be responsible for the reception/venue itself, keeping in mind they may not be able to call the limo driver who is running late or assist the groom who has forgotten about his socks.
As a couple you have invested months of preparation and planning for your wedding day. It will be one of the most memorable and quickest days of your lives, so why not enjoy it to the fullest.
